Thian Woon-Foong

Woon-Foong is passionate about helping organisations achieve excellence through integration, development and optimisation of the three critical building blocks – people, process and technology.  Woon-Foong currently serves as the Head of Talent Acceleration Programmes in Leaderonomics.

Prior to Leaderonomics, he has over 23 years’ working experience in both national and international corporate settings taking on many different roles and responsibilities. He spent close to 14 years working in both regional and global Shared Services Outsourcing (SSO) organisation for two of the top market research companies in the world, namely GfK and Ipsos. In these two organisations, he held various senior management roles and was heavily involved in the management of service delivery of enterprise I.T. systems as well as information processing & amp; reporting services. 

In these roles, he had supported countries from all continents in the world. Woon-Foong has extensive experience in learning & development. During his tenure in GfK, he held the role of Regional Training and Development Manager in which he was responsible for the setup and leading of learning & development (L&D) organisation covering 11 countries in Asia Pacific region. He was responsible for: (a) developing and implementing L&D strategies to support business objectives, (b) designing and implementing training and development initiatives. 

Among the programmes he had successfully created and executed together with his team include series of Leadership Development Programme, Effective Work Management workshop and Train-the-Trainer programme. Woon-Foong has delivered programmes in Australia, Bulgaria, Chile, China, Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. 

He is passionate in providing customised, high quality consultancy and training services to create impactful learning organisations. Woon-Foong holds a Bachelor Degree of Science with a Major in Computer Science and Minor in Computer Information Systems from Arkansas State University. He also attended the Train-the-Trainer program by Singapore Institute of Management (SIM).
