Keynote Masterclass: Driving a Sustainable Business Culture

The CHRO Playbook for Future-Ready Organisations (Prof Tan Joo Seng)

In this closed-door masterclass, Prof Tan will share fresh insights from his forthcoming book, Driving a Sustainable Business Culture (World Scientific Press, 2026), based on interviews with CHROs, CSOs and C-suite leaders, alongside an organizational culture study across 14 diverse organisations.

The session introduces a simple but powerful leadership lens — the Three Rs Model:

  • Reasons - why sustainability succeeds (or stalls) at the level of purpose, meaning, and strategic intent
  • Roadmap - how culture, leadership behaviours, and people systems translate ambition into execution
  • Results - what sustainable cultures measure, reinforce, and renew over time

Designed specifically for CHROs, this masterclass will highlight the cultural patterns that distinguish organisations building genuine sustainability from those stuck in performative initiatives - and offer a practical playbook for leading the workforce transition in an era of disruption, AI, and net zero urgency.

10:30
Live Interview + Roundtable Q&A

Interview Questions:

  1. What are CHROs most underestimating about the people and culture side of AI-driven transformation today?
  2. In your research, what are the clearest warning signs that an organisation’s culture will struggle to deliver on sustainability ambitions?
  3. What does cultural intelligence look like when leading a multi-generational, multinational workforce through disruption and the net-zero transition?
  4. Across your work with global organisations, where do HR and culture transformations most often break down - and what differentiates the ones that succeed?
  5. Your new book introduces the Three Rs - Reasons, Roadmap, Results. What does a truly sustainable business culture look like in practice, and what is the CHRO’s role in building it?
  6. If you could give CHROs one priority shift for 2026 as sustainability and AI collide, what would it be?
