Marcus brings with him over 20+ years corporate and entrepreneurship experience. His first 10 years were spent in organisations like Accenture, Talent2 and Time dotcom in the areas of financial project management, product development and management and talent acquisition. An active entrepreneur, he co-founded start-ups for the last 10 years.
He co-founded PositiveLinks Asia (www.thepositivelinks.com), a boutique executive search firm that specialises within the field of new technology, mobile, digital and management consulting. Its clients include traditional organisations like Astro, Alliance for Financial Inclusion, BCG, edotco, Inti, Singtel, Paramount, UOB Bank, and digital players such as Axiata Digital Services, Digi, Gobi Partners, Planetlabs, Redhat, Rokki, Setel, Opentext and more.
Believing that clients and talents need a new way of thinking and innovating and given his love for building products, he co-founded Positive X (www.positivex.asia), an innovation design company aimed at empowering clients to innovate and design solutions for their business success. Employing a holistic approach focusing on the key themes of innovation, design thinking, and creativity in business, and as strong advocates for design sprints as a powerful tool to unlock innovation for time-pressed and resource-tight businesses.
As an experienced workshop and learning facilitator, his commercial and business experience adds real-world depth and insights for all participants. He is passionate about being a change driver, to deliver value to all whom he engages with, and driven to be that multiplier effect for long-term success.
Marcus holds a BSc majoring in Accounting from The Queen’s University of Belfast. He is a trained facilitator in Design Sprint.
