Bharat is a Unilever Veteran who has crisscrossed 72 countries. He comes with 25 years of rich experience and expertise in Brand Management, Media Strategy, Brand Activation, Market Development and Integrated Brand Communications. A memory collector and a storyteller at heart, he seeks experiences and every journey is a story for him. Like others he takes selfies; but his are different. They tell a story that is emotive and engaging.
Bharat was the Regional Integrated Brand Communications and Market Development Director for Unilever’s Homecare category across Asia, Africa, Middle East and Turkey. His role and responsibilities include championing the development of IBC (Integrated Brand Communications) and Market Development Toolkits for Homecare Asia, Africa, Middle East and Turkey, leading regional media projects for the Homecare category, and championing new ways of working for the Category. Bharat works closely with Global/Regional Brand Development, Country Brand Building Teams and Partner Agencies.
Bharat is the CEO of Connecting the Dots Consultancy and Global Partner of Anecdote which is recognized as the world leader in the use of storytelling in business. He is currently on the Executive Committee of the Asian Federation of Advertising Associations (AFAA) and is on the Global Board of the International Advertising Association (IAA).
Bharat is regularly invited to speak at Industry Events. He has spoken at Asia Pacific Media Forums, Ad Asia, World Advertising Congress, Malaysia Brand Fest and other Industry events. He has been awarded the Achievers & Leaders Award for Brand Leadership at the IALA Conference in Singapore 2013, and the Brand Leadership Award at the World Marketing Summit 2013.
